Hello There!
Today I wanted to go over the Long Wave Stitch. I have a video tutorial on my youtube as well for the visual. Let's get started.
Abbreviations:
Ch: Chain
Dc: Double Crochet
Hdc: Half Double Crochet
Sc: Single Crochet
St(s): Stitch(es)
Tr: Treble Crochet
This pattern uses a multiple of 14 plus 2.
Row 1: 1 Sc into 2nd Ch from the hook, [1 Sc into next two Chs, 1 Hdc into the next two Chs, 1 Dc into the next 2 Chs, 1 Tr into the next three Chs, 2 Sc] as many times as desired based on multiple, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, 1 Sc across, turn
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as first Tr), 1 Tr into next St, 2 Dc into the next two Sts, 2 Hdc into the next two Sts, [1 Sc into the next three Sts, 2 Hdc into the next two Sts, 2 Dc into the next two Sts, 3 Tr into the next three Sts] as many times as desired based on the multiple, turn.
Note: This row will end with 2 Tr stitches.
Row 4: Ch 1, 1 Sc across, turn
Now the repeating rows will begin. You will repeat Rows 1-4 for as long as desired based on the project. I would recommend ending with a Row 2 or 4 for symmetry.
