Granny Stitch Garments

Hey My Crocheters!

In the spirit of keeping with the Granny Stitch and Square theme this week I wanted to talk about garments. How could I not when that’s part of my design line. I finally finished my sample for my poncho that I have been working on for about a year! I feel like I’m almost there as a designer. There are still a few things I have to do before I can release the pattern, like tech editing, blocking and all that fun stuff. I used the Granny Stitch in the round to create my poncho and here it is.

I’m not the only crochet designer making garments with the Granny Stitch. Han Jan also has many patterns featuring the stitch. She is even hosting a crochet along using her Granny Patterns.

The best part about the Granny Stitch is that it is super simple and it looks great. The stitch is very beginner friendly and I recommend using it. The options are unlimited for the type of project that can use it. See my Granny Square project idea post for more ideas.

That is all I have to say about it for now. Let’s get to crocheting and having a happy time doing it.

Happy Hooking!
